More ICM Poker Bot Information

Recently I wrote a blog answering another player's question on the ICM Poker Bot software. While I got into some of my basic thoughts and ideas of this type of software, I did not explore how it actually works in any depth. Since this topic generated quite a bit of interest, I thought I would briefly explain the software for those of you thinking of purchasing. Let's just say that this software is not likely to end your money woes anytime soon.

First, the software does not play poker. Yes, you heard me right. It does NOT play poker. Its approach is very simple. It goes all-in pre-flop based on the strengh of your starting hand. While this may work for some Turbo SnG's, it is not a very good approach to long term winning.

Second, you can only play Sit n Go's. This is made apparent on the company's site. While that may be your goal, it makes this software very limited.

Third, and perhaps most telling, you are not allowed access to the company's forum until you have already purchased the software. Hmmm.........Do you suppose that could be to keep you from all the negative opinions of people who have already purchased? Obviously, there are always going to be conflicting opinions on things like this, but if the software is any good, why wouldn't you want the forum to be open to encourage people to buy? I don't care for the way this feels at all and I think it speaks volumes for the compay marketing the software.

Fourth, and another very important point, the site claims that this software works on PokerStars. However,  according to most of the players who have tried it there, their accounts are frozen very quickly after they begin using it on PokerStars. Maybe having this info would have been helpful prior to buying the software? Probably could have known this if you would have had access to the forum on the site, right?

Anyway, I think you get my points.  There a myriad of other little glitches that I have read about that I dont like in the software, but by and large, this does not seem to be the poker product that it claims to be. Again, this is strictly my opinion and I would love to hear form users that are making money using this software and having it perform satisfactorily.  However, until I start to hear some positive feedback, this review will hopefully help those of you thinking of trying ICM Bot software make an informed decision.
