Denver Broncos Come Up with Another Great Trade!

As a Raider fan, it sure does my heart good to follow the Broncos these days. The moves that the Broncos continue to make boggle he mind and defy imagination, as they bumble along making Oakland look like a well run club. Cutler? Who needs him? Brady Quinn? Sure, he's a superstar. Get rid of our best WR? Makes sense.

In what is hopefully for Bronco fans, the culmination of retarded moves, the Broncos have traded Brandon Marshall to Miami. This move makes sense, as now you have 2 QB's who can't throw with nobody to throw it to anyway, so it all works out! I can't wait to hear how you Bronco fans will attempt to justify this one, but it should be good for a laugh or 12. Now, if they can just get rid of Champ Bailey, Denver can put an all JV team on the field and really lead the league in ineptness! Maybe they can trade him for a 4th round rick to Oakland and then draft a new punter. If a stupider bunch of moves have been made by a football team in a shorter amount of time in the last ten years, I would like to know who they are because I can't think of one. At least the Raiders try to get good players, however misguided they may be. Denver is going to be playing in the arena league if they are not careful. Oh wait, arena league is gone!

As the Raiders get set to win 5 games again this year, it will at least, be of great consolation to me that Denver is in for probably an even longer year. Go Broncos!

Broncos Add Final Piece of Puzzle With Brady Quinn

Well, the Denver Broncos in their continued attempt in recent years to make the Oakland Raiders look well managed, have made another stellar move with the addition of quarterback Brady Quinn. Quinn be join the hall of fame laden quarterback roster of Kyle Orton and Chris Simms, making Bronco fans wonder 'what the hell?' and Raider fans wonder 'can we win 6 games this year?'

Why in the world Brady Quinn would seem like a logical addition to a team with quarterback issue, I have no idea but the front office decisions being made in Denver the last couple of years seem to be modeled after the Raiders, and indeed, make some Raider decisions look smart. Unless the Raiders pull Tim Couch out of retirement, I am not sure a more bone-headed move could be made. I will give you 2-1 that Brandon Marshall will not make it to training camp in a Bronco uniform, so I guess then Denver can utilize a 'wildcat' type of formation with Quinn throwing to Orton lined up in the slot.

In any case, it does my heart good as a Raider fan to see Denver fighting with Oakland and KC so hard for that cellar position in the division. If we can just get San Diego to bring back Ryan Leaf then all will be well and we will see competition in the West again!  Maybe Al Davis is on the right track?

At Least the Raiders Didn't Lose!!!!

In a shocking turn of events yesterday, my predicition came true and the Oakland Raiders managed NOT to lose a football game. The fact that they didn't play may have contributed heavily to this odd circumstance. However, they did make news due to the fact that 63 year old Vince Evans is being brought out of retirement to replace Jamarcus Russell at quarterback.

In other news, Peyton Manning did his best "Brett Farve" impersonation and the Saints somehow won the Superbowl. Tim Brown, Cris Carter, and Shannon Sharpe continue to NOT be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, although Shannon Sharpe remains as annoying as ever, as evidenced by his commentary in said Super Bowl.

More tomorrow, after a blockbuster day like that, I have to rest!

The Raiders Suck but the Broncos are worse

Nothing of much importance to post today, but I just wanted to write a quick note since the last game of the NFL regular season was yesterday. As everyone knows, I am a life long Raider fan, and their ineptness over the last few years has inspired me to pull my hair out, develope a drinking problem (maybe I had that anyway) and sink into depression. However, as bad as the Raiders are, and as much as they suck, it was almost worth it to see the Broncos lose to the Chiefs yesterday.

Yes, Oakland is bad, but at least they didn't lose to Kansas City to dash all hopes of a play-off berth on the final day of the season. At least they didn't bench their star wide-out for the final game like Denver did. (of course, they don't even have one to bench, and even if they did, it wouldn't matter with Jamarcus throwing balls 15 feet over his head!) At least Oakland didnt 't run a pro-bowl quarterback out of town and then rely on the arm of Kyle Machine-gun Orton. At least Oakland didn't run a Super Bowl winning coach out of town so they could get a guy who should be a ball boy.(oh, wait, forgot about Lane Kiffin) The paralllels are  striking and illustrative of the fact that both clubs need something that resembles a front office asap, or possibly should just start playing in the Arena league instead. (oh wait, that is out of business. Well, that would be about right for these two teams)

I get tired of all the Denver of the cockiness of Bronco fans, especially in this area, and it was almost worth suffering through another 5 win season to see the melt down that was Denver this season. Denver is so bad they make the Raider organization look well run and maybe Bronco fans can shut up for a year and quit making fun of us poor Raider fans. PEACE!!!
