Nothing of much importance to post today, but I just wanted to write a quick note since the last game of the NFL regular season was yesterday. As everyone knows, I am a life long Raider fan, and their ineptness over the last few years has inspired me to pull my hair out, develope a drinking problem (maybe I had that anyway) and sink into depression. However, as bad as the Raiders are, and as much as they suck, it was almost worth it to see the Broncos lose to the Chiefs yesterday.
Yes, Oakland is bad, but at least they didn't lose to Kansas City to dash all hopes of a play-off berth on the final day of the season. At least they didn't bench their star wide-out for the final game like Denver did. (of course, they don't even have one to bench, and even if they did, it wouldn't matter with Jamarcus throwing balls 15 feet over his head!) At least Oakland didnt 't run a pro-bowl quarterback out of town and then rely on the arm of Kyle Machine-gun Orton. At least Oakland didn't run a Super Bowl winning coach out of town so they could get a guy who should be a ball boy.(oh, wait, forgot about Lane Kiffin) The paralllels are striking and illustrative of the fact that both clubs need something that resembles a front office asap, or possibly should just start playing in the Arena league instead. (oh wait, that is out of business. Well, that would be about right for these two teams)
I get tired of all the Denver of the cockiness of Bronco fans, especially in this area, and it was almost worth suffering through another 5 win season to see the melt down that was Denver this season. Denver is so bad they make the Raider organization look well run and maybe Bronco fans can shut up for a year and quit making fun of us poor Raider fans. PEACE!!!
