Well kids, today’s post is about how unnecessary school really is. As evident by 21-year old Joe Cada winning $8.5 million at the 2009 WSOP Main Event last night, school is way over-rated. Yes, that’s right, you heard it here first. Don’t worry about college, just make sure you have a nice lap top and a fast internet connection, and start playing poker. Hell, drop out of high school and practice until you are of age to compete.
Trust me, school is for chumps. Every year some no-nome like Joe Cada or Peter Eastgate wins enough money to retire at 21 years of age, in the Main Event. The way I figure it, there are only 20 million or so poker players playing online and in games all over the world and one of them will win the Main Event. That could be you. Don’t work hard, get a degree and a career, just play poker for a living. Everyone can do it, just watch ESPN.
If worst comes to worst and playing poker and winning the Main Event doesn’t pan out, you can always become a professional lottery-ticket-buyer. Somebody has to win the lottery too, and it takes a lot less skill than poker. If you become really good you will be able to read the eyes of the guy at the Qwik Way selling you the tickets as well.
So, either way, don’t let anyone tell you different; main event winner or pro lottery ticket buyer. Your future is all but assured. Just ask Joe Cada!
